What is RSS:
RSS (Real Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format for sharing and distributing Web content, such as news headlines. Using an RSS reader, you can view data feeds from various news sources, such as Leica SmartNet, which includes headlines, summaries, and links to full stories.
With an RSS reader, the news comes to you rather than you needing to come to the SmartNetWeb site.
How do I access RSS:
If you have Internet Explorer 7, then simply click on the RSS picture above and subscribe to the service free of charge. You can then go to your web browser "Favorites" icon, then "View Feeds". Click on Latest SmartNet News and select view feed properties. Here you change the frequency of automatic news updates, sounds etc..
Alternativley, there are a number of free News Readers available to download, such as the Google Reader.
If you choose your own News Reader from the web, all you need to do is:
- Click on the RSS icon above
- Copy the URL
- Paste the URL into your newsreader
Use of RSS Feeds:
RSS is a free service offered by Leica SmartNet for non-commercial use. Any other uses, including, without limitation, incorporation of advertising associated with or targeted towards the RSS Content are strictly prohibited. You must use the RSS feeds as provided by Leica SmartNet, and you may not edit or modify the text, content or links supplied by Leica SmartNet
